Special Private Safari ItineraryÂ
Nyerere, Mikumi & Ruaha National Park.
On arrival, you will check in at Mloka Safari Lodge, followed by a hot lunch. After lunch, you will have a short rest. At 16:00pm, you will embark on a boat safari along the Rufiji River, spotting hippos, crocodiles and various bird species. The boat safari lasts approximately 2 hours. After safari, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Early morning, after breakfast, you will depart for a full-day game drive in Selous Game Reserve (now Nyerere National Park). Enjoy an exciting wildlife-viewing experience from the comfort of an open-top safari vehicle, offering an immersive journey through the African wilderness. Expect to encounter a variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, and the rare African wild dog. At midday, you will stop at a designated picnic area in the park for lunch, before continuing with your afternoon game drive until sunset.
As the day comes to an end, you will return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay at Mloka Safari Lodge.
Early in the morning, you will depart for a Bushmen Walking Safari, a unique and exciting experience found only in Tanzania. The walk will last approximately three hours, after which you will return to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast, you will collect your packed lunch and begin your drive to Mikumi Village, passing through Morogoro. Lunch will be enjoyed on the way. As you cross Mikumi National Park, you might be lucky enough to spot wildlife along the roadside.Â
Upon arrival at Mikumi Bastian Camp, you will have dinner and stay overnight, preparing for the next day’s adventure.
After breakfast, with packed lunch, you will drive to Mikumi National Park for a half-day game drive. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including lions, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and impalas. You will also visit the Mkata Floodplain, famous for its predator-prey interactions. After lunch, you will check out of Mikumi National Park and begin your journey to Ruaha National Park via Iringa Town. Along the way, you will make a short stop in Iringa to buy fresh fruits and other essentials. Upon arrival at Ruaha National Park, you will check in at Ruaha Bandas, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Ruaha Bandas.
After breakfast, embark on a thrilling game drive in Ruaha National Park, exploring its vast landscapes and diverse wildlife. Your experienced guide will help you track animals and provide insightful information about the park’s ecosystem.
Ruaha is famous for its large elephant herds, big cats, and breathtaking scenery. You’ll visit the iconic Great Ruaha River, a prime wildlife hotspot where animals gather to drink, offering excellent photography opportunities.
Enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic picnic site within the park. In the late afternoon, as the sun sets over the savannah, you’ll continue your game drive, witnessing the golden hues of Ruaha’s wilderness. Later, return to Ruaha Bandas for dinner and an overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, set out for another exciting full-day game drive, covering new areas of the park. Today, you’ll dive deeper into Ruaha’s untouched wilderness, following fresh animal tracks and learning about predator-prey dynamics from your guide.
Break for lunch at a shaded picnic area, then continue exploring, focusing on different regions of the park to maximize wildlife sightings. As the day winds down, enjoy a magical sunset over the golden plains, offering a perfect end to your Ruaha adventure. Return Ruaha Bandas for dinner and overnight.
Today early in the morning. You will check out Ruaha National Park and drive back to Dar es Salaam, via Iringa – Morogoro. Lunch will be on the way. You will arrive in Dar es Salaam evening and be dropped off at your hotel or airport.
